About PGN Piano:
PGN Piano is THE Place To Learn How To Play The Piano! It offers you online piano lessons, wherever you are, whenever you want! With piano lessons added each week, you’ll never get bored, having to play the same type of songs over and over again, you can simply pick the songs you like and start to learn to play piano right away! On the YouTube Channel you’ll find lessons suited for everybody! There’s piano lessons for beginners, and though there are no specific piano lessons for kids, they can still use the lessons to learn how to play their favorite songs, like for instance this lesson: How To Play Hurt Christina Aguilera!
You shouldn’t consider the lessons to be piano for dummies, instead think of them as a way Hurt to teach yourself piano. This is the main reason Back To You I started PGN Piano. I found myself in a place where I wanted to learn piano online, and I simply couldn’t find any good lessons for specific songs. After learning some songs myself, I decided it was Back To You to spread my knowledge, and gave it a go. My first piano lesson ever has now reached nearly 1.000.000 views, and is still being watched many times each day.
I hope you’ll enjoy my free piano lessons, and if you do make sure to subscribe to the channel, so you receive an update in your feed whenever a new lesson is released! Furthermore, you can visit:

I tried to present a piano lesson without any words and making sure you play as you learn. The video is only 10 minutes long but you can play it several times until you get confident. It is meant for people that has never read piano music before so I start from scratch. Not all the concept seen are explained (time signatures, rest, clef) but only the relevant once.
The idea is that any person that don’t speak English can still learn from this video although a very few words are used.
In this case every beat last a second because that is the tempo chosen as the most suitable for this exercise. That gives me the chance to explain that a crotchet/quarter-note last a second, a minim/half-note 2 seconds and a semibreve/whole-note last 4 seconds. That would change if the tempo goes faster or slower.
I hope you enjoy this.
The music is especially composed for this exercise by Marcello Palace.
The only two chords used are C and F7m and the reason I used a 7th minor in the F chord is to make more acceptable to include notes that are not part of the sounding chord and still make it sound acceptable.

Understand the correct channel of energy: Mind – Body – Piano. It is certainly not the piano which plays the fingers which tell the mind what to think. Across my channel, discover philosophies such as the Internal Piano, Internal Jukebox, the Mind Triangle, your Musical Personality and the idea of becoming an observer to your hands. All these things are so very important to Your natural progress before you even sit at the piano. Thus, my channel focuses heavily on the mind and will provide much inspiration for you both at and way from the piano. Consider my blog a side-dish to the videos.

New piano? New plan? Learning the piano is not difficult and over 10 videos, I am going to prove this. In each video, using my philosophical teaching approach combined with my motivating and encouraging style, you are going to become whatever being a great pianist means to You.
What you must acknowledge, however, is that 10 videos does not mean it takes 10 hours, or 10 days, even 10 weeks! It will take as long as it takes for you to consider that you have reached an acceptable level; this may involve going to take exams, making recordings of pieces or your own compositions and getting feedback, or visiting a real-life teacher for refinement. Please bear this in mind during the 10 video course.

Did you just buy your first keyboard and have no idea how to get started? Then you’ve come to the right place! In this mini-series I’m going to cover all of the basic concepts and teach you how to jumpstart your piano or keyboard playing career. Emphasis is on practical lessons with real-life applicability, aimed at pop/rock musicians.
In this video I’ll be covering how to name notes, and then present some essential chords which will get you started: C major, F major, G major and A minor.
Next lesson we’ll work on your accompaniment skills, so stay tuned! I plan on releasing a new video about once a month.

How long does it REALLY take to learn piano?
I get this question ALL the time from students. And I used to ask it myself. Unfortunately, most teachers just give the answer “it depends”.
Now… is that true? Yes, it does depend. But just because that answer is RIGHT doesn’t mean that answer is HELPFUL. I’d rather give an answer that actually means something and can give new students at least an idea on how long it takes based on how much you practice.
To do this, in the video we’re going to break down piano into three categories:
2. Playing by Ear
3. Learning Songs
For each of these categories, we’re going to break it down into an “if X then Y in Z time”. For example, “If you practice X minutes a day, you will get to Y level in Z months”.
This way you can really see “ok, if I just practice a certain amount of time a day in a certain way, I can be confident I’ll be at a certain level.
It takes the “it depends” answer and really breaks it down to something meaningful that you can actually follow.
