Learn To Play Piano At Home

Hang On Sloopy – Piano Lessons

Take some piano lessons from Scott Houston “The Piano Guy.” In this video, Scott and his guest, Dave Powers, discuss how to play the rock tune “Hang On Sloopy” which is a great 3-chord tune.

This song uses 1-4-5 chord changes. First Dave plays the baseline with his left hand and the chords in his right hand.

Dave demonstrates playing the melody line and the chorus. Then Dave shows you how to play root chords in the left hand. Then he stretches out a bit and uses power chords in his left hand along with the baseline to simulate a rock n roll guitar.

Scott’s life goal is to help you learn to play piano through piano lessons that you can take anywhere and at any time to get you started having some fun at a piano or keyboard as quickly as possible.

The video concludes with a great performance by Dave Powers playing “Hang on Sloopy” on piano.
