If you consider yourself a beginner and have never learned to read music before, then this lesson is for you. This is part 1 of 4 total videos. The other three parts will be exclusive to the LessonsOnTheWeb Academy. Reading music is essential for someone to learn how to play piano. With some new techniques and equipment, I was able to put together this video to best describe how to read music on the Treble Clef.

Notes:
The staff is made of five lines and four spaces in between those lines. A note can fall on a line or space and depending on which line or space will tell you which note to play and where on the piano to play that note. You can tell a note is on a line if a line is going directly through a note. You can tell a note is on a space if the note is between two spaces. The treble clef is also known as the G clef because the center of the clef points to the line G. The Treble clef is usually played with the right hand and contains notes mostly to the right of middle C. The lines of the treble clef from the bottom to the top are E, G, B, D and F. The spaces of the treble clef from the bottom to the top are F.A. C and E. If you put the lines and spaces together, it goes in music alphabetical order E, F, G, A, B, C, D, E, F. Being able to identify where notes are on both the keyboard and staff is very important in learning to read music and playing the piano. Make sure to practice note reading daily until you have it mastered.

🎵After a while applying for the piano at my university, it doesn’t seem to work out, and I truly want to have a chance to continue my piano career and motivate others with that. If you’re willing to help me with that, here’s my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/dinkyduong
🎵 I am 24 years old, from Vietnam. I started teaching myself piano last year to see my ability because I’ve been in love with this musical instrument since I was just a little girl. And after a while saving money, I finally got my first piano and couldn’t wait to play it.
Yeah, here is my result after 7 months challenging myself, hope you guys will give me positive comments. 🎵
