learn piano online
At age of 40, Jeff, the oil company executive, tried to learn to play a small song on the Casio keyboard that he bought for his children. He quickly went on to play many original works of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Elton John, Billy Joe, John Lennon, and Jay Chou … all because he built a notation system that anyone can read immediately. The patented Hao Staff (named after him and referenced against the traditional Grand Staff music notation) is now already used by thousands of people.

That number is expected to grow into tens of millions in the near future, and hopefully, will teach people around the world how to play the piano in a matter of minutes.

God so love that he gave his son
C Em D
To lay down his life for the sake of us
He bore the weight of our sin and shame

Yeah, here is my result after 7 months challenging myself, hope you guys will give me positive comments. 🎵

Elton John Your Song – Piano Lessons – Moving Beyond the Basics
Take some piano lessons from Scott Houston “The Piano Guy.” In this video, Scott and his guest, five-time Grammy nominee David Benoit, take playing the Elton John hit, Your Song, to the next level.
Scott and David begin by discussing the subtle differences between playing “solo style” piano and “accompaniment style.”
David shares that if he is playing a solo style (no one is singing) then he will usually take the melody line up an octave from where he would play it if he was accompanying someone singing the song. Accompaniment style playing requires you to support the singer and stay out of their way.
David and Scott talk about how David goes about making a song his own or in other words, making his own arrangement of a popular tune. For this song, he chose to leave off the intro that was in the popular, recorded tune by Elton John.
He also changed the key that he was playing the song in from the key of Ab to C which really opened up the song.
Another tip given was to encourage you to play the song the way you would want to sing it. They share that they often noodle around the melody line. They interpret the sheet music not memorize it.
If you would like to pause here and take a step backwards to get down just the basics of this tune, take a look at the video below:

Scott’s life goal is to help you learn to play piano through piano lessons that you can take anywhere and at any time to get you started having some fun at a piano or keyboard as quickly as possible.
