Intermediate Piano Lessons 1 – Learn How to Play Piano Better with Good Practice. This is a new series for intermediate students. It will review the aspects of good piano practice and what things you should be including in your practice.
The Keys of Good Practice are as Follows:
1.Consistency of practice is very important as it will allow you to form good practice habits.
2. You want to focus on what you are working on. Create goals and concentrate on what you are doing.
4. Change things up for a little bit for variety.
5. Get 15-30 minutes for beginners; 30-60 for intermediate; 2-4 hours for advanced.
In terms of consistency, it is always better to practice for a smaller amount of time everyday than it is to practice for many hours a couple of days. Make sure to develop good practice habits and make practicing a priority. Pretend that your time at the piano is a class that you need to graduate from school. Don’t skip it unless absolutely necessary. Have goals when you practice and consistently focus on those goals each time you practice.
You want to start with the most difficult material since your levels of concentration will be the highest when you first sit down at the piano. Some of the things you should be practicing include scales, arpeggios, and Hanon exercises. Learning your scales will help your fingering as well as understand what notes exist within a certain key. This piano lesson is only recommended if you have learned to very basics of playing the piano. Coming up with a good piano practice routine is essential and will ensure you get the most out of your piano lessons. Polishing your practice routine is a solid first step at moving to be an intermediate to advanced piano student.

Continuing from Part 1: http://PianoGenius.com In addition to being able to easily play chords using the Number System instead of wrote memorization, the same techniques can be used to play chord progressions, which is what we’re focusing on here.
As in lesson #1, I’m going over a lot quickly here, and once you understand how songs are a series of chord intervals, you’ll be able to learn and remember songs easier, as well as be able to “transpose” those chords to different music keys, because instead of just memorizing the chords, you’re memorizing the Number System behind the chords.
This is a piano tutorial for beginners, but even if you are an intermediate piano player you will pick up some shortcuts about basic left-hand accompaniment, recognizing chords and intervals quickly by watching this fast-moving video.
This is how working musicians learn music by ear… I’ve rehearsed and recorded with world-class musicians. I’ll show you how THEY work out songs, learn chords fast, play songs quickly, and how you can do the same thing and impress your friends by becoming a “Piano Genius”. 🙂

Moving onto the Butterfly Effect in Liszt’s Liebestraum. Do not forget that there are no limits in reality, only those which you present to yourself. This piece would never be called a beginner’s piece, but you will be able to play this piece within a week if you follow the parts every day and spend at least an hour/day on it.
